Person-of-Mystery

I've been doing a bit of thinking.  I really like the weekend photo contests, but it's really a lot of work to actively monitor the contest throughout the day (my hat's off to PJM).  So here are some modifications to the Person-of-Mystery contest:

1)  I will post a photo, but will not comment for 24 hours.
2)  Please feel free to take a guess, but then go enjoy your day.
3)  Check back the next day.  The first correct post will be declared the official winner, but since I won't be immediately confirming the identity, you can consider yourself a runner-up if you agree with an earlier guess.

Happy guessing!

  3. I do apologize. Google kept telling me that I hadn't correctly typed in the security word.

  5. Good job Rob, I had heard of her life story before and must have seen her photo at one time. Never would I have put the two together. Again congratulations.

  6. Yes, it’s an interesting story. When she was young she was known for her 'beauty, wit and vivacity'. She was at the center of the so-called Petticoat Affair, a scandal involving members of President Andrew Jackson's Cabinet and their jealous wives. This helped Martin van Buren to become the president, a Dutch speaking US president by the way. Later in life her third husband left her for her granddaughter…
