Triathletic Family

Okay, you're going to have to indulge a proud father for a day here.  I'm going to brag about my kids.  On Saturday, we left early in the morning and went out to Lopez Lake, where the older two boys competed in the Scott Tinley Triathlon.


It was a lot of fun.  Tim (age 14) competed in the Adult Sprint Course (1/4 mile swim, 12.4 mile bike, and 6 mile run).  Andrew (age 10) competed in the Kid's Course (200 yard swim, 4 mile bike, and 1 mile run).  They both did awesome!



Tim finished in 1 hour 28 minutes.  Andrew in 26 minutes.  Awesome job for the both of them!  Tim was strongest in the swim with a time of 8 minutes 1 second (in a lake with several hundred other people).  Andrew was strongest on the bike.



Then we returned to San Luis Obispo where Jonathan (age 8) had a soccer game.



What a great way to spend a Saturday.
