Person-of-Mystery
Who could I be? That's the mystery! Go ahead and take a guess and then go enjoy your day. Check back tomorrow and I'll reveal the answer. The first correct post will be declared the winner.
RTD, sorry, I didn't mean to mislead. There was no hint intended in my reply to Judi, just a play on her earlier comment. The photo today is unrelated to JPJ.
I'm going with one of our founding fathers. Addams? Hamilton? Judging by the styling of your clothes, you could be any number of 18th century notables. Can you give us a hint? :D
Jenann, sure, I'd be happy to provide a clue. First off, although he's dressed in Revolutionary garb, he is not from that era. He is reenacting a part at a much later date. He is probably best known however, for being the first at something and there are plaques to his memory and places named in his honor, particularly in the Western US.
You are too clever for me, Nate. I forgot all about JPJ's quote when his ship 'The Bonhommie Richard' was sinking - and yet he won that battle. Your hint says that the mystery person's name is all over the west....hmmm....I'll guess Yosemite Sam? (Sorry, I have nothing better to offer)
Two thumbs up for "Anonymous"! Thanks for the clue, Nate, but I would never have gotten that. I've never heard of STM. p.s. I think Judi should get honorable mention for most creative guess! :D
Well, there aren't any photos of John Paul Jones around, so it can't be him....
ReplyDeleteJudi, have you not yet begun to guess?
ReplyDeleteYour clue says John Paul Jones, but I don't think there are any photos of him.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a young George Bush!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a young John Boehner to me.
