Hm, does this card go back to 1898 or earlier? The oldest piece of paper in my possession is my grandparent's marriage certificate of the year 1909 and.......also 'made in Germany'.

I see a Durham Tobacco sign painted on the wall. I went to high school not far from the old factory in Durham.

Ellena, I don't know how old the card is. It was probably made around the turn of the century sometime. Many of these old post cards were printed in Germany and then sold in the US.
