Place-of-Mystery

Sorry for the delay today - too many kid activities all at the same time this morning, but we're up and running now!

Below you will find an image of a place some place in the world.  The winner will be the first one who can tell me where it is located.

Good luck!

So, where could this be?  That's the mystery!  Go ahead and take a guess and then go enjoy your day.  Check back tomorrow and I'll reveal the answer.  The first correct post will be declared the winner.

If you'd like to make sure that your guess is correct, enter this place name into Google Images and photos like these will be found on the first pages of the image results.

Nate,

I haven't made a wild guess in a while so I will guess St. Augustine Florida.

DAG, thanks for the guess, but this is not St. Augustine.

Perhaps I should have mentioned DAG, you were on the right track.

On the right track, huh?
Is that a coconut tree? The only place they grow in the US is Hawaii & Florida. Could Florida be the hint?
Google isn't helping me.
Anyone out there who is more familiar with either of those 2 states? Or maybe Puerto Rico or Guam?

I think it's one of the old Caribbean forts from the 16th Century, but can't find the right one.

Is this the Coral Castle near Homestead, Florida?

Brian, you came through again with a last-minute win. Congratulations!

Good job, Brian. Hope DAG & Rigadoon & my comments helped. How do you know all these places, Brian?

Well done Brian. You've done it again.

Thanks, everyone! I got this one from both the previous comments and pure luck. The POM appeared to be made out of limestone, and what looked like a small sign or informational display led me to believe it was probably a tourist attraction. Using Google Images, I used "limestone tourist attraction florida" as the search terms, and an image from the Coral Castle was in the first few results.
