The Wet West Coast

Wow, we're getting some kind of storm!  The last couple days have seen more than 200% of our average monthly rainfall.

So much rain has come down so quickly that it's starting to flood the lower areas.  The boys got a big kick out of the bike path (now a swimming pond).

Now that is more than making the most of a bad situation - it's like there is no bad situation in the first place!

Looks like the kids had great fun. Did you try it?

I'll trade my ice and snow for your water, any takers?

Looks like a great day to be a kid again.

We so rarely see so much rain, so the boys have fun when it comes. Judi, I did not try it this time. The boys and I had to sneak out when their mother wouldn't object. DAG, the boys are already asking for a trip to the snow.

In Holland we are knee deep in snow. The highways resemble Antarctica. Siberia is starting to look like a sunny place to live.

I can't believe they are out with shorts on. That much rain here always means cold weather! I think my kids would be jealous.
