I thought I'd heard a song by the Monroe Brothers with the same title...Googled it and found via a Google book "The Music of Bill Monroe" by N. V. Rosenberg that "What is a home without Mother" was a song produced in about 1850 by Septimus Winner, composer of "Listen to the Mockingbird" and "Whispering Hope". Apparently "What is a Home..." was very popular and I bet it was the source of the title on the card...
I think you're probably right Virgil. I'll have to look for the music and see if I can find it.
Very nice post, i certainly love this website, keep on it
